Origin of Hepatitis B Virus in Primate

Abstract

|
Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infections are a major worldwide health problem with chronic infoctions leading to cirrhosts and liver cancer. HBV belonging to the genus Orthohepadnavirus of the family Hepadnaviridae has been found in various animals (duck, woedchuck, ground squirrel and primates) and HBV can be classified into seven genotyes A-G. Despite the clinical Importance of HBV, its evolutionary origins are unclear. In this paper, we described analysis of the evolutionary history of HBV and primates. Article reviews will helpful for studying of HBV vaccine development using primates.
